“BE THE LINK”: Plekhanov University Welcomes Dubai Police Speaker for a Student Workshop
2 October 2026
Plekhanov University held a student safety and awareness workshop, joined by guest speaker Diana Ghadi, Security Awareness Senior under the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, who spoke with students about staying safe, responsible, and informed while living in the UAE.
The workshop explored practical aspects of everyday life in Dubai, including appropriate conduct in public spaces, emergency numbers, and the different ways to contact the police in emergency and non-emergency situations. Students also learned how to navigate more dangerous situations such as potential fraud, and to use e-scooters safely, and follow essential driving safety guidelines.
The session gave students practical knowledge to help them navigate both public spaces and online platforms with confidence and awareness. By understanding their responsibilities and knowing where to turn for support when needed, students are better equipped to live, study, and move around Dubai safely and responsibly.
