Grow Forward Concludes with a Look at AI, Work, and Irreplaceable Skills

22 June 2026

The future is a subject that captures both excitement and uncertainty. As AI continues to reshape industries, many parents find themselves asking the same questions: What kinds of jobs will exist in ten years? How can we prepare children for a future we’re struggling to understand? These questions formed the foundation of the session, "AI Literacy for Parents: The Future Landscape," the final one of the Grow Forward initiative.

This session’s purpose was to look beyond the noise and examine what actual evidence tells us about AI’s impact. Dr. Svetlana Chigaeva-Heddad explored what current research tells us about AI and the future of work, moving beyond sensational headlines and focusing on evidence-based perspectives.

Throughout the discussion, parents reflected on how these insights translate into everyday decisions at home. The conversation focused on qualities such as critical thinking, adaptability, creativity, communication, and sound judgment, examining why they remain valuable even as technology becomes increasingly capable. Rather than attempting to predict every change ahead, the session encouraged parents to focus on nurturing skills that help children navigate uncertainty with confidence.

Since April, Grow Forward has brought together members of the UAE community through 12 free educational sessions spanning AI Literacy, Business Innovation, and Languages. The initiative created a space where participants could gain practical knowledge, exchange ideas, and tackle personal and professional challenges alongside others seeking growth and direction. As we conclude this initiative, we’re proud that Grow Forward has served its purpose of helping people adapt to change while continuing to move forward with confidence.

As this chapter comes to an end, we thank every participant, speaker, and contributor who helped make Grow Forward possible. Your curiosity, engagement, and commitment to learning transformed these sessions into a thriving community. While Grow Forward may be ending, the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey, and we look forward to welcoming you to future initiatives, events, and opportunities for growth.
