Leaders of REU: Two Plekhanovites Complete Intensive Course at Moscow Campus
24 May 2026
Something special just happened in the global Plekhanov community — the main campus’ annual intensive course “Leaders of REU” has just wrapped up, and we’re proud to share that not one, but two of our bachelor's students were selected among the top students across all Plekhanov branches to be a part of it. Throughout the past week, our students Marina Tikhonova and Edgar Vasiliev took on lectures, company visits, cultural experiences, and hands-on project building in the heart of the Russian capital.
The course was intensive in every sense of the word — right on the first day, Marina and Edgar joined their cohort in a session on entrepreneurship and building a business from the ground up, exploring their own opportunities and limitations, and the difference between being "first" and being the best. As the week went on, they explored project ideation, project planning, presentation mastery, and leadership development, building toward what the program calls true "managerial mastery." And it wasn't all theory — they attended workshops on digital etiquette, professional communication, and navigating workplace relationships to build the skills that actually matter once you step into the professional world.
Beyond classrooms, the cohort visited leading Moscow companies and cultural landmarks, including Yasnaya Polyana, the historic estate of Russian author Leo Tolstoy. Students were awarded certificates of participation at the official closing ceremony.
Marina and Edgar didn't just complete the program — they left a mark. The Dubai Student Council received a letter of appreciation from the Moscow Student Council, recognizing their participation in the interbranch activity and the project they built. That kind of recognition, earned on the main campus stage, speaks for itself. "Leaders of REU" is built for students with high potential and bigger ambitions — and that is exactly who represented us.
