Plekhanov University in Dubai Welcomes Moscow Students for FinTech Development Program
4 May 2026
Today, 15 students of the Higher School of Economics at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics have joined us at Plekhanov University in Dubai. From May 3rd until the 10th, these students will engage in a week-long FinTech professional development program, exploring the world of FinTech in the city where innovation and finance are most active.
This program is one of many of the university’s cross-border learning initiatives, offering students access to diverse industries and in-depth learning opportunities. After a safe arrival and a chance to settle in, students dived head first into the world of FinTech. The orientation day began with a tour of the university campus, in which they explored our learning facilities, collaborative spaces, and innovation-driven environment. The first seminar was held with Dr. Sanjay Nadkarni, where students familiarized themselves with the requirements to create an impactful final project for the program. The following seminar was with Dr. Nasiha Osmanovic, diving into FinTech and Islamic banking. Tomorrow, the students’ educational trip will continue with an industry visit to The Juma Al-Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, where they will engage with rare historical economic and financial books and build a unique cultural perspective.
With an exciting agenda ahead, this program is set to offer our visiting students a stellar experience of the dynamic FinTech scene in Dubai. We look forward to helping them connect with this fast-evolving industry, and building knowledge and skills that will support them in their education and future careers.
