18 April Open Day: A Celebration of Achievement, Community, and Knowledge

On April 18, we held an Open Day that brought together prospective students, parents, and members of our wider community. Today’s Open Day featured a special event: Our first graduation ceremony for students who completed the AI for Teenagers and Everyday Arabic courses.
Our Open Days are always lively, informative experiences where guests can explore, ask questions, and connect with the university. Yet, this Open Day felt especially warm and celebratory, offering guests a true glimpse into the close-knit Plekhanov community. Dr. Svetlana Malkarova, Director of Plekhanov University in Dubai, opened the event with a welcoming speech, greeting the families, guests, and future students who joined us today. The presence of Vladimir Krasnoperov, Attaché for Science and Technology at the Russian Embassy in the UAE, added special significance to today’s event. He noted the university’s dynamic development and its progress forward, highlighted the strong interest of students in their studies, and expressed his support for the university’s continued growth.
Mr. Adel and Ms. Rana, the respective instructors for the AI for Teenagers and Everyday Arabic courses, took the stage to express how proud they are of the students’ outstanding performance. Students of the AI for Teenagers course delivered truly impressive results. Not only were they deeply interested in the modern technologies shaping today’s world, but they created remarkably advanced projects at a very young age. This includes young Stepan, who developed his own online mini-game using the skills he gained during the course. One by one, the course students took the stage to receive their certificates of completion and well-deserved gifts recognizing their achievements.
The Open Day also welcomed a diverse, multinational audience, with attendees eager to explore the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs. To ensure every question was answered in depth, a Q&A session was held with Dr. Malkarova, joined by Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Svetlana Chigaeva-Heddad, who provided valuable insights into academic programs, curriculum structure, and student opportunities.
We were delighted to welcome so many families and prospective students and to celebrate the achievements of our course graduates together.
