Plekhanov University in Dubai Advisory Council Member Kirill Podgorny Elected Chairman of the Russian Business Council in the UAE

Plekhanov University in Dubai proudly congratulates Mr. Kirill Podgorny, member of the university’s Advisory Council, on his election as Chairman of the Presidium of the Russian Business Council in the UAE. On 18 February 2026, in Moscow, he held a meeting with Mr. Andrey Kutepov, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, to discuss the development of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and the UAE, as well as support mechanisms for Russian businesses in the Gulf region.
Mr. Podgorny was elected to this leadership position on 4 February 2026. He has long been actively engaged in strengthening ties between Russia and the UAE through his work within the Russian speaking business community and his involvement in humanitarian projects. His recent appointment reflects both professional recognition and a continued commitment to advancing bilateral dialogue.
As the mission of expanding partnerships between Russia and the UAE continues, Plekhanov University in Dubai is proud to play an active role.
