Innovation Week Day 4: CASC Conference at Plekhanov University in Dubai
27 November 2025
Day four of Innovation Week 2025 at Plekhanov University in Dubai marks the penultimate day of this event, and of the 27th edition of the International Workshop on Computer Algebra in Scientific Computing (CASC) being held at the university. Along with it, a forward-looking workshop by Dr. Sanjay Nadkarni, professor at Plekhanov University in Dubai and human centered AI expert, titled "Beyond the Horizon: Discover What’s Next Through AI Powered Futures Thinking” was held.
The fourth day of the CASC conference featured a rich selection of presentations, including a highly anticipated plenary lecture by Dr. Abdul Salam Jarrah from the American University of Sharjah, on the topic "Invariants of Polynomial Systems of ODEs.” Other presentations included:
• Svetlana Selivanova and Holger Thies: Solving Differential Equations in Exact Real Arithmetic and Applications to High-Precision Computations
• Amir Hashemi, Rodrigo Iglesias, Matthias Orth, Eduardo Eduardo Saenz-de-Cabezon, and Werner M. Seiler: Effective Methods for Janet(-like) Completion
• Yulia Mukhina and Gleb Pogudin: Support Bound for Differential Elimination in Polynomial Dynamical Systems
• Greg Alejandro Solis-Reyes, Marc Moreno Maza, and Alexander Brandt: Parallel Computation of the Power Series Solutions to Linear Ordinary Differential Equations
• Momonari Kudo and Kazuhiro Yokoyama: Several New Upper-Bounds for Maximal Gröbner Basis Degree under Semi-Regularity Assumptions
• Zhaoxing Qi and Linpeng Wang: Choosing Variable Orderings Based on Elimination Tree for Sparse Triangular Decomposition
• Maximilian Heisinger and Clemens Hofstadler: f4ncgb: High Performance Gröbner Basis Computations in Free Algebras
As Innovation Week approaches its end, the momentum remains strong. The CASC conference continues to highlight pioneering research, foster international collaboration and inspire the next generation of researchers and computer science enthusiasts.
