Academic Council Approves Future Strategy for Plekhanov University in Dubai

The academic council of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics convened to review the university’s progress, where Dr. Svetlana Malkarova, Chairperson of Plekhanov University in Dubai, presented the branch’s performance and achievements over the past year. Her report highlighted the continued growth of the Dubai campus, its student success indicators and the strengthening of partnerships across the UAE.
Dr. Malkarova outlined key developments in academic quality, international collaborations and community initiatives. She also provided an overview of new programs, improvements in student services and the university’s expanding role in the regional education landscape. Based on her presentation, the following decisions were made by the Academic Council:
• The Council affirmed the successful completion of the objectives set for establishing the UAE branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
• The Council approved the development strategy for Plekhanov University in Dubai for the period 2026-2030.
In addition, the Council decided to allocate additional funding to support the development of scientific and research activities at the Dubai branch. This funding will strengthen ongoing research efforts and expand opportunities for faculty and student innovation.
