Innovation Week Day 2: CASC Conference Continues at Plekhanov University in Dubai
25 November 2025
Innovation Week 2025 continues at Plekhanov University in Dubai with the second day of the 27th edition of the International Workshop on Computer Algebra in Scientific Computing (CASC).
Day two of CASC conference continued with the same momentum of the opening day, and it featured a plenary lecture by Dr. Ilias Kotsireas from Wilfrid Laurier University on the topic “Constructive Combinatorics and Computer Algebra.” The program also included the following presentations:
• Michael Monagan and Garrett Paluck: A New Black Box GCD Algorithm Using Hensel Lifting
• Mei Tan and Jing Yang: Subresultant of Bernstein Polynomials and Its Application in Computing the Parametric Greatest Common Divisor
• Amir Hashemi, Rozhin Sadr, and Werner M. Seiler: On the Computation of Axial Constants and Sectional Regularities
• Kosuke Sakata and Tsuyoshi Takagi: An Algorithm for Computing the Leading Monomials of a Minimal Gröbner Basis of Generic Sequences
• Aras Bacho and Martin Ziegler: Second-Order Parameterizations for the Complexity Theory of Integrable Functions
• David J. Jeffrey, Qingze Li, and Robert Corless: Computation of Stirling Numbers for Complex Arguments
• Paco Jain, Oleg Marichev, Timur Sadykov, and Elina Shishkina: Advanced Symbolic Integration of the Fox H-Function Products
• Alexei Uteshev, Elizabeth Kalinina, and Marina Goncharova: Hankel Polynomials and their Zeros
• Jan Verschelde and Kylash Viswanathan: Extrapolating on Taylor Series Solutions of Homotopies with Nearby Poles
Plekhanov University in Dubai students attended a few of the lectures, getting a firsthand look at the world of computer science and advanced research. The research papers accepted for the 27th CASC conference are compiled in this year’s edition of the CASC book and featured in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. The CASC conference will continue throughout the week, bringing more presentations, discussions, and opportunities for high-level knowledge exchange as part of Innovation Week 2025 at Plekhanov University in Dubai.
