Russian Embassy in the UAE Conducts Meeting at Plekhanov University in Dubai on Implementing AI in Education in local Russian Institutions

On September 19 2025, a collaborative meeting initiated by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in UAE was held at Plekhanov University in Dubai. The meeting was set to discuss the addition of AI into the education of schools, educational centers, and academies in the UAE, with Plekhanov University in Dubai contributing its technological expertise and academic support, including programs like its Master of Education in AI in Education, accredited by CAA, KHDA, and the Ministry of Education of Russia.
Vladimir Krasnoperov, Science and Technology Attaché of the Russian Embassy, outlined in the opening speech:
In attendance of this dialogue were the following distinguished guests:
• Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and Northern emirates, Maxim Vladimirov
• Consul of the Russian Federation in Dubai and Northern emirates, Denis Nikolaevich Vorobyov
The meeting was joined by the directors and representatives of 7 Russian educational and training institutions across the UAE. Olesia Popenkova, Director of the Russian School of Abu Dhabi “Primakov,” spoke about the school’s experience of introducing modern technologies and gamification into learning programs:
Dr. Ahmed Hamed, professor at Plekhanov University in Dubai, delivered a presentation exploring the viable benefits of AI for the education sector, in which he outlined applications of AI in education such as personalized learning, performance assessment, and gamification.
The outcomes of this meeting are set to develop and upskill the teaching staff of Russian institutions in the UAE in AI and modern technology, contributing to the growth of the UAE’s knowledge-based economy and reaffirming Plekhanov University in Dubai’s commitment to innovation and educational development through AI.

I looked through several reference books and was convinced that, together, we are truly advancing Russian education community.”
