Plekhanov University in Dubai Kickstarts the Year with a Warm Welcome

The new academic year at Plekhanov University in Dubai began on a high note with a carefully planned welcome ceremony that brought together university leadership, faculty, and old and new students. The ceremony gave everyone present a chance to connect and set an uplifting and driven tone for the year ahead.
The welcome ceremony unfolded in a welcoming atmosphere. Buzzing with positivity, students waited in the campus lounge at Plekhanov University in Dubai as the faculty and guests gathered. They were greeted with a warm welcome from the university leadership, starting with Director of Plekhanov University in Dubai Dr. Svetlana Malkarova, who shared an inspirational welcoming speech:

- Ms. Marya Zarudnaya, Deputy Director of Academic affairs, who made introductions and highlighted the importance of this first day of our students’ exciting new university careers
- Dr. Hasan Abu Ezza, Deputy Director of Administrative Affairs, who spoke about Plekhanov University in Dubai’s newly launched research centers: The Neuroeconomics Research Center and the AI Research Center
- Dr. Bilhar Lehar, Quality Assurance Officer and seasoned education professional, who gave a motivational speech about exams and discipline
- All faculty members and teaching staff, who introduced themselves and the importance of education
Plekhanov University in Dubai’s welcome ceremony was joined by the business leader, professor, consultant, and multifaceted professional Dr. Marina Pochinok as a guest lecturer. Dr. Marina joined with a lecture titled “Future Ready: Testing Your Agility for the Journey Ahead”, which explored the ability to learn and adapt, testing the students’ readiness for the journey ahead of them.
Her lecture was followed by an encouraging greeting from a senior Digital Business master’s student, who welcomed the students with the perspective of a fellow Plekhanovite.
