Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Wins Competitive Selection to Train Specialists in Artificial Intelligence

Plekhanov Russian University of Economics has been chosen in a competitive selection to train highly qualified specialists in AI for the years 2025-2030. The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation have chosen 19 universities in the selection which will train specialists in several fields at the DS (Data Science) level.

The faculty Higher School of Cyber Technologies, Mathematics, and Statistics of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics will establish an educational center for AI, which will train specialists capable of fine-tuning and further developing existing AI models, as well as solving applied problems using these technologies. The federal project "Artificial Intelligence" of the national program "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" has provided a grant in support of this training, which features a focus on practical application of AI and aim to train professions to implement AI to solve real world problems.
