
Exploring Leadership, UAE's GenAI Strategy, and UAE-Russia Collaboration Opportunities with Ahmed Al Zarouni
Ahmed Al Zarouni, a leading expert in IT strategy and cybersecurity, participated in the "Global Foresight, Artificial Intelligence, and Strategic Leadership" conference hosted by Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow. His presentation, titled "UAE's Generative AI Frontiers," offered valuable insight into the UAE’s progress and vision for artificial intelligence.
In his speech, Mr. Al Zarouni outlined how the UAE has developed a powerful digital infrastructure, supported by hyperscale data centers, sovereign cloud networks, and near-universal 5G coverage. He emphasized the country's sovereign AI ecosystem, led by organizations such as G42 and Core42, and the successful deployment of national large language models like Falcon LLM.
The presentation also covered the UAE's real-world adoption of generative AI across key sectors including public administration, healthcare, education, and cybersecurity. Al Zarouni noted that platforms such as TAMM and Dubai.AI are already transforming government services through conversational AI.
In addition, he discussed the growing opportunities for collaboration between the UAE and Russia in AI research, education, and localized development.
