Plekhanov University Among the Best: New Achievements in the THE World University Ranking by Subject 2025!

The international ranking agency Times Higher Education (THE) has published the results of the World University Ranking by Subject 2025.
Plekhanov University continues to strengthen its position on the international stage, this year adding a new subject area, "Arts and Humanities," where it has entered the top 500 best universities in the world.
Particular attention should be given to the university's achievements in key areas such as "Social Sciences," "Business and Economics," "Computer Science," and "Education Sciences."
Our positions in the 2025 ranking are as follows:
<• Social Sciences (501-600th place in the world, 3rd place in Russia);
• Business and Economics (601-800th place in the world, 6th place in Russia);
• Computer Science (801-1000th place in the world, 13th place in Russia);
• Education Sciences (401-500th place in the world, 6th place in Russia);
• Arts and Humanities (401-500th place in the world, 9th place in Russia);
• Engineering (1001-1250th place in the world, 22nd place in Russia);
• Physical Sciences (1001+ place in the world, 23rd place in Russia).
Thus, Plekhanov University is represented in 7 subject areas of the THE World University Ranking by Subject 2025.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025 includes about 2,000 leading universities from 115 countries, which constitutes only 4% of the total number of universities worldwide. In 2024, the number of higher education institutions in the world exceeded 50,000.
