Plekhanov University graduates reach career heights faster than anyone else

Graduates of four leading Russian universities, including the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, become managers faster and more often — this is the conclusion reached by researchers after analyzing data for 13 years.
Graduates of Plekhanov University climb the career ladder the fastest (1.78 years to a management position from the date of graduation). According to the researchers, the choice of university, the first organization in which the graduate begins his or her professional career, as well as the personal qualities and knowledge of the graduate influence the career.
Experts studied the career dynamics of graduates from universities from the top 15 subject ratings of the RAEX agency with the highest scores in the specialties "economics" and "management" in 2010-2023. The researchers judged career success by two indicators: the level of the highest position for the entire time of the graduate's work and the speed of movement up the career ladder — the time it took to take up the position after graduation.
