Youth club for compatriots at Plekhanov University in Dubai

Plekhanov University in Dubai has become a real center of attraction for Russian-speaking youth living in the United Arab Emirates. The new club unites young people from Russia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, and the university creates educational and cultural meanings that help build and maintain ties between young people and their compatriots, culture and language of their native country.

"The Club of Russian-speaking compatriots is practically unlimited opportunities for young people, and I want more young people to be able to take advantage of them," said Dalia Al-Sherif, a student and one of the initiators of the Club.

"Plekhanov University, with its more than a century-long history, is the bearer and home of spiritual and educational guidelines for Russian-speaking youth," said Svetlana Magometovna Malkarova, Director of Plekhanov University in Dubai.

Sergey Anatolyevich Tokarev, member of the World Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots and Secretary General of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, emphasized: "The creation of the club is an important step to preserve the cultural identity and active interaction of Russian-speaking youth in Dubai."

This meeting was preceded by a visit by Elena Gennadyevna Tarilova, Chairperson of the Coordination Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots (CCORS) in the UAE, and Yuri Nikolaevich Tarilov, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor and Co-Chairman of the MGIMO Alumni Association in the Arab States of the Persian Gulf to the University. Joint initiatives of Plekhanov University in Dubai and organizations of Russian compatriots in the Emirates were discussed at the meeting.

KSORS (Coordination Union of Organizations of Russian Compatriots) unites public organizations of Russian compatriots to coordinate joint actions to protect the legal rights and interests of their members, preserve and popularize the Russian language and national culture, and strengthen the ties of compatriots with their historical homeland.

It has accreditation from the Ministry of Education of the UAE - SAA and accreditation from KHDA

Teaching at the branch is conducted in two bachelor's degree programs (Marketing, Finance) and two master's degree programs (Corporate Finance and Digital Business).
