World Russian Championship

WHAT IS THE WORLD RUSSIAN LANGUAGE CHAMPIONSHIP?
It is an international competition for learners of the Russian language to test their knowledge of the language, history, and culture. It is organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Education Development and International Activity ("Interobrazovanie")" (https://vk.com/ined_ru) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (https://vk.com/minobrnauki).
👥 WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
• Teams of 4: 1 mentor (aged 21+) and 3 participants aged 16-35
• Open To: All non-Russian citizens aged 16–35 who speak the Russian language and want to put their knowledge to the test
• Championship Working Language: Russian
• Participation is free

1️⃣ QUALIFYING STAGE
The qualifying stage has already begun and will continue until October 1, 2026. It includes language tests, portfolio uploads, and creative tasks which are available on the website. Interested individuals must register their team and complete the required tasks before the deadline.
2️⃣ FINAL STAGE
The final will take place in Moscow from November 19 to 23, 2026. The organizers cover round-trip travel to the Russian Federation, visa support, accommodation, and meals during the final. Qualified participants will enjoy competitive tasks, various activities, and excursion programs.
🏆 GRAND PRIZE
The winning team receive the title of World Russian Language Champion, a trophy, and the opportunity to study at Russian higher education institutions free of charge!
